GENERAL OVERVIEW

Intelligent sensors are an important component in today's IoT world. They provide specific, targeted information that facilitates automated work processes or also autonomous driving. As an Electronics Technician for Information and System Technology, you will develop and implement information technology systems. You will install and configure both hardware and software components, design user interfaces, and ensure that everything works. During your apprenticeship, you will learn all about how we manufacture our complex sensors, while providing support for our engineers in the development departments, for example commissioning measuring stations, capturing and evaluating measured data, or integrating hardware and software components.
If you are passionate about electronics and IT and enjoy working with both electronic circuits and communication systems such as microcontrollers, the Electronics Technician for Information and System Technology apprenticeship is ideal for you.

You can find further information on the apprenticeship on the web pages of the Mannheim Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

DURATION OF TRAINING / SCHEDULE

The training starts on September 1 each year and takes 3.5 years.

Our application portal is open from March onward for the subsequent training year. However, since most places are already assigned some time before the start of training, you should ideally already apply a year before you are due to complete your school-leaving qualification.

LOCATIONS

We currently offer this apprenticeship at our company HQ in Mannheim, where you also complete the practical phases. Vocational tuition takes place in blocks at the State Vocational College Lauingen (Dillingen district), where you will stay in the residence linked to the vocational college for the duration of the theory phases. This allows you to focus fully on the respective practical or theory phases of your apprenticeship rather than having to study for lessons directly after work. We will obviously cover the costs for the accommodation.
