Hendrik, technical sales specialist at Pepperl+Fuchs, is used to spending a good deal of his time on the road. But not quite in this way: From March to the end of May, he was a volunteer driver for the Civil Relief Munich aid organization, drove to the Polish-Ukrainian border to pick up refugees and take them to stay with host families in and around Munich.

Being able to help is a great feeling

Right now, giving refugees from Ukraine a temporary home is probably the biggest help anyone can offer. That same thought occurred to Wolf, EPE Product Management Assistant at Pepperl+Fuchs. Together with his wife, mother-in-law, and children, ages three and five years, he took in refugees for several weeks starting in early March. He reports on his experiences in the career blog.

A sigh of relief in South Africa: Oz the rhinoceros is fit again

It has been over six years since Pepperl+Fuchs began sponsoring an orphaned baby rhinoceros named Oz. Now an imposing bull, he lives at the Care for Wild Rhino Sanctuary in Mpumalanga, South Africa, a reserve for orphaned rhinos. After suffering some health problems in recent months, the pachyderm is now enjoying the African summer in his new reintroduction area.

Special works of art for the Pepperl+Fuchs walls

Fun and creativity despite home office: Employees at the Pepperl+Fuchs sites in the United States and Canada, along with their children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, had the opportunity to submit creative works in an art project. The results will grace the walls of the lunch rooms at the sites in the future.

Working in the time of Coronavirus

For most employees at Pepperl+Fuchs, the COVID crisis has led to a considerable change in their working conditions. While some are now working from home, others are holding the fort on site, while observing the safety measures enforced there. One of these employees is Nadine. At the beginning of 2020, she moved from Pepperl+Fuchs’ Mannheim site to Katy, Texas. As Logistics Process Manager, she is responsible for controlling warehouse processes. A rather different environment: Experiences of working from home

During the coronavirus crisis, working conditions have changed quite radically for most employees of Pepperl+Fuchs. While some staff members remain on site, keeping the flag flying in compliance with the safety measures, others are now working from home. One of these is Richard.
