A. Collection and processing of personal data

Insofar as personal data is collected at our websites (e.g., application forms), this data is disclosed voluntarily by the user. This data is processed and used by Pepperl+Fuchs, for example, in order to answer your inquiries or to provide you with access to specific information.

The possibility of data being transferred to the USA and the US authorities accessing data stored by Google by cannot be ruled out. In terms of data protection law, the USA is currently considered a third country. The regulations there do not correspond to those within the EU/EEA. You may not be entitled to legal remedies against the authorities accessing your data.

Duration of Storage

The data sent by us and linked to cookies will be deleted automatically after 14 months. Data that has reached the end of its storage period is automatically deleted once a month.

Pepperl+Fuchs offers you, as a website visitor, the opportunity to apply online for an advertised vacancy within the Pepperl+Fuchs Group, which consists of Pepperl+Fuchs SE and the companies that are affiliated with it in accordance with Sec. 15 ff. of the German Stock Corporation Act (AktG). To this end, you can use a form or submit your application by e-mail. We take the protection of your data very seriously, and we process it in compliance with the applicable provisions regarding data protection and privacy law. The following section on data protection provides information on how we process your personal data and what rights you have under data protection and privacy law.

 

A. Collection and processing of personal data when examining an application

By registering in our eRecruiting system at our career portal, career.pepperl-fuchs.com, you declare your interest in seeking a job within the Pepperl+Fuchs Group. The Career Portal is operated by Pepperl+Fuchs SE. The Pepperl+Fuchs Group consists of Pepperl+Fuchs SE and the associated companies in accordance with Sec. 15 ff. of the German Stock Corporation Act (AktG).

The data provided in your application will be used exclusively for the purpose of checking your application and its suitability for the advertised vacancy. Only authorized employees have access to your data. Suitable applications for a position will be forwarded by the Human Resources department to the relevant department or subsidiary of the Pepperl+Fuchs Group for closer examination. In order to comprehensively evaluate your application, we always require personal data from you (name and surname, day of birth, contact data) as well as your resume, certificates, and corresponding proofs. The provision of further information, including a photo, is optional. Please note that you are responsible for ensuring that your data is correct.

As a matter of principle, we do not share any personal data with third parties without your express consent. If, in the course of processing, we nevertheless disclose your data to third parties, transmit it to them, or otherwise grant them access to the data, this is done exclusively for the purpose of using the personal data on our behalf and on the basis of a corresponding contract (commissioned data processor pursuant to Article 28 DSGVO). Our processors have been carefully selected, are bound by our instructions, and are regularly monitored by us. We commission only processors who provide sufficient guarantees that appropriate technical and organizational measures are taken in such a way that the processing is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the GDPR and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and that your rights are protected.

Applications for positions within Germany that are received by e-mail are transferred via a secure HTTPS protocol to a server operated by our service provider JoinVision for purposes of parsing resumes (information from the applicant’s resume is extracted and imported into an applicant management software program). During processing, your data is located exclusively on JoinVision’s server in Germany. It is erased after processing, with the result that no storage of personal data occurs.

 

B. Duration of data storage and criteria for determining this duration

Your data will be saved for the entire duration of the recruiting process. At the end of this process, your data will be deleted from our system in accordance with the legal retention period if you do not wish it to be stored in our German talent pool (see Section III.C.) 

 

C. Storage of your application in our German talent pool for jobs in the German subsidiaries of the Pepperl+Fuchs Group

If you apply for a specific position at one of the German Pepperl+Fuchs subsidiaries and if we are not able to consider your application for this specific position, we can save your application in our German talent pool. For this purpose, you only need to tick the corresponding check box in the application form. This enables us to notify you once a position that is suitable for you becomes available.

By ticking the box, you agree to be part of our German talent pool of applicants in order to be considered for further job openings. If you agree, we will store your data (all data provided by you, especially name and contact details, date of birth, resume, certificates, photo, information provided during interviews) for 12 months in our German talent pool of applicants.

After the period of 12 months, we will delete your data unless you request further storage. We will store your application data at your express request only and delete the data in the event of a revocation. When you revoke your consent, it does not affect the legality of data processing prior to your revocation. Please note that if you object to data processing, we may not be able to consider you for future vacancies that may be suitable for you. The legal basis for this is Article 6 (1)(1)(a) GDPR.

 

D. Legal basis and further information and contact options

If you send your application by e-mail, we would like to inform you that, due to the structure of the Internet and the nature of e-mail transmission, unwanted third-party access may occur. It is therefore also your responsibility to protect your data against misuse through encryption or any other method.
