Electronics Technician for Equipment and Systems

GENERAL OVERVIEW

As an aspiring Electronics Engineer for Equipment and Systems, you will fit and remove electronic devices and modify these correctly. You will solder electronic components, working both with and without a microscope, and operate SMD automatic placement machines. During your apprenticeship, you will check PCBs and assemblies. You will also design PCBs and draft circuit diagrams. This will not only give you the opportunity to familiarize yourself with our products, but also to learn how the production workflows and manufacturing processes work.

You can find further information on the apprenticeship on the web pages of the Heilbronn-Franken Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

DURATION OF TRAINING / SCHEDULE

The training starts on September 1 each year and takes 3.5 years.

Our application portal is open from March onward for the subsequent training year. However, since most places are already assigned some time before the start of training, you should ideally already apply a year before you are due to complete your school-leaving qualification.

LOCATIONS

We currently offer this apprenticeship at our subsidiary ECOM Instruments GmbH in Assamstadt, where you also complete the practical phases. Vocational tuition of the apprenticeship at ECOM Instruments takes place weekly on 1-2 days at the vocational college in Bad Mergentheim.
