Hot temperatures, cold drinks, and a whole lot of team spirit! At the 11th BAUHAUS Company Run in Mannheim, our colleagues proved that even the summer heat couldn’t dampen the high spirits – perfectly in line with our motto: “Together is our Strongest Power.”
With 135 finishers, colleagues from Pepperl+Fuchs and its subsidiary VMT (Vision Machine Technic Bildverarbeitungssysteme GmbH) successfully crossed the finish line at this year’s BAUHAUS Company Run in Mannheim. Out of a total of 6,314 participants who made it to the finish, and despite the scorching heat, it was an impressive achievement we’re truly proud of!
And it paid off twice over: we headed home with two trophies in our luggage. In the “Top Teams” category, we secured a top spot with 7th place for the most participants. The absolute highlight, however, was taking first place for the most creative costume: our crime-scene cleaners, the “Pharma Boys,” sweated it out for Pepperl+Fuchs despite the high temperatures – and were duly celebrated on stage. A performance full of charm, humor, and plenty of heart!
Our team also showed real strength in the team rankings: 13th place for our top women’s team out of 739 women’s teams, and 50th place for the men out of 1,163 men’s teams. Outstanding results that earned our colleagues every bit of respect!
Along the 5.2-kilometer route, numerous supporters – many of them from our own ranks – cheered the participants on at full volume. And despite the summery temperatures, fun was the name of the game for everyone. After crossing the finish line, all finishers received not only their well-earned medal but also drinks courtesy of the organizers – the perfect way to come together at the Pepperl+Fuchs stand, raise a glass, and chat about one or two of the more sweat-inducing stretches. All in all, it was a thoroughly successful event that once again showed what makes us who we are: Together is our Strongest Power – because everything runs better as a team! A big thank-you to our amazing team, whether out on the course, cheering from the sidelines, or hanging out at the stand. Together, we made it a day to remember. See you in 2027!
