In May and June, Pepperl+Fuchs took part in three running events with great enthusiasm. In addition to participating in the BAUHAUS company run in Mannheim, the employees in Amberg and Bühl also enthusiastically took to the starting line, proving once again that running together brings people closer.
Put on your running shoes, pass the relay baton, and cross the finish line together. This year, an 11-member team from Pepperl+Fuchs in Amberg once again took part in the district relay race in Amberg-Sulzbach. The running event attracted numerous running enthusiasts for the 40th time, offering them a day filled with sporting activities and shared experiences. On May 9, more than 2,500 runners in a total of 232 relay teams took to the starting line. Pepperl+Fuchs employees, a former colleague, and two family members joined forces to complete the 57.9-kilometer course, divided into 11 stages of varying lengths. Together they faced the challenge, focusing not only on times and placements, but above all on having fun. Along the route, and especially at the finish line, many colleagues cheered the team on with enthusiastic applause. In the end, the team finished in 196th place overall. After the run, the day ended on a relaxed note in the festival area. Delicious food and drinks provided the perfect setting for good conversations and socializing.
NEXT STOP: RUNNING EVENT IN BÜHL
Employees at Pepperl+Fuchs in Bühl also got into the sporting spirit. On May 20, the starting signal was once again given for the AOK company run, and ten employees from the site laced up their running shoes to enjoy an evening of sport together. The group was once again a diverse mix, ranging from ambitious runners to enthusiastic Nordic walkers. Together, they completed the 5.5-kilometer course and created a fantastic team atmosphere. The positive spirit was contagious! Around 1,000 runners took part in the event and were cheered on throughout the course, before receiving warm applause at the finish line – whether slow or fast, true to the motto “Running for ALL”. A particular highlight was that Pepperl+Fuchs‘ fastest runner achieved an excellent 33rd place overall. The day concluded with the traditional “After-Run-Party”. With lively music, a colorful supporting program, and catering provided by the Bühl gymnastics club, the participants were able to end the evening in a laid-backatmosphere. Everyone enjoyed good food, drinks, and plenty of laughter together.
