FIELD SALES ENGINEER – NEW SOUTH WALES (NORTH)
Role Purpose:
Reporting to the Factory Automation Regional Sales Manager Australia/New Zealand, the successful person will be responsible for supporting an existing customer network with a focus on new business development. The primary function is achieving sales targets as well as establishing and maintaining sound relationships with key and strategic customers, with the primary objective of growing these groups. Our office is based in Melbourne, however this role will be based in Sydney from home office and travelling both in the Metro region and to regional NSW, such as out west and to the mid-North Coast is to be expected.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and build new business, that is a mix of new business development and account management
- Develop and maintain strong relationship with key / strategic customers in New Zealand and Victoria
- Maintain existing database whilst expanding into new sales areas
- Identify new market opportunities and determine the most effective and suitable methods of converting those opportunities to sales
- Ensure CRM systems are updated with activities and opportunities in accordance with company expectations
- Provide reliable and timely activity information through the reporting, monitoring and analysis of trends
- Maintain effective and efficient customer service support using internal sales admin team along with inter-company support structures
- Achieve and where possible exceed agreed sales targets in accordance with annual budget projections
- Manage, support and train sales channel partners
Role Requirements:
- Relevant Electronics/Electrical Engineering qualifications, i.e. Degree/Diploma or Trade qualified with proven sales experience
- Background in Industrial Automation, Factory Automation or Sensors highly regarded
- Sound knowledge of NSW automation market and smart sensor solutions would be an added advantage
- Demonstrable successful sales achievements to date
- Sales oriented and results driven with a drive for business development and possessing a “hunter” disposition
- Passion for sales and understanding the importance of digital transformation and/or automation & robotic applications
- Self-motivated, autonomous, hands-on and energetic
- Flexible, adaptable and confident with self-leadership
