Process Engineering Manager, Industrial Engineering

Role Purpose:
Responsible for IE Process engineering department deliverables to achieve company’s strategic goals in the areas of KPI-driven Time-to-Market Projects (PEP), Transfer Projects (PTP), Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP) and Work Packages of Technology Development Projects (TD)
Manage and ensure department meets the expectation of stakeholders and management in terms of KPIs, process quality, lead time, resources and costs
Mentor and develop your department as Subject Matter Experts in Production Technologies for NPIs for successful industrialization of new product launches and transfers. Also to support as Local / Global Technology Owners (LTO / GTO) in selected technologies
Develop your engineers to participate in Projects at SEA regional level and if needed at Global Projects
Major Accountabilities:
Being a manager of IE Process Engineering, you are responsible to align with the management team on company strategic goals, and lead your department to achieve KPIs relating to Time-to-Market (PEP), Plant to Plant Transfer, Continuous Improvement and Work Packages of Technology Development strategies
Manage and ensure that stakeholders and management expectations in terms of KPIs, process quality, lead time, resources and costs are fulfilled within projects and your own department
Ensure the success of Process Engineering under the Industrial Engineering division. You support company Time-to-Market initiatives (PEP and PTP), Continuous Improvement Projects and Technology Development Projects by contributing your team members in these projects
Managing Process Engineering deliverables for NPIs in Sub-assemblies (e.g. SMT, Molding, Cabling, Coil winding, COB) from End-to-End, and ensuring lead time and quality meets project deadlines and production acceptance
An expert in develop, track and manage resources planning for your team to meet Project requirements (PEP, PTP, CIP, TD-WP)
Develop, track and manage annual budget for Machines, Equipment, Fixtures purchases and NPI activities
Lead the team to ensure Manufacturing Processes and equipment are reliable and sustainable with use of standard release processes
Lead the team to meet targeted Manufacturing time and Process yield for new products and Transfer products
Work with R&D, TD, QM-IE, QM Lab and other functions to ensure Product Qualification is achieved for New product and Transfer products
Lead the team to develop and release Process qualification plans for New products and Transfer products
Lead the team to Select, buy, install, FAT/SAT/MSA and release Machines/Equipment to production for New Products and Transfer Products
Lead the team Develop documentations and Provide training to Manufacturing for Processes of New Products and Transfer Products
Lead the team to work with other IE functions to build Samples, Prototypes, Pilot runs and other builds till SOD and make Productivity improvements from Technology enhancements (E.g. Process Innovation, Industry 4.0, Automation, Digitization)
Develop and mentor your engineers as Subject Matter Experts for selected Production Technologies by taking over responsibilities as LTOs and GTOs to support the Global Expert Teams (GET) by active participation in GET meetings and standardization improvements
Responsible and accountable for your department expenses and yearly budgeting
Manage and drive the standardization of operational processes with your counterparts in other Industrial Engineering departments
Manage and solve unclear situations relating to projects and other inter-department management topics
Drive and achieve stable and smart manufacturing processes for new launch (PEP), transfer (PTP) and Improvement (CIP) projects
Role Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Material Science / Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent
- Business fluent English (written and spoken)
- Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 3 years of experience leading a Process Engineering team in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment
- Preferred experience with industrial electronics products / industrial sensors / automotive products
- Able to work in a team, with excellent coordination and organizational skills
- Good knowledge in either two or more technology-based manufacturing process (e.g. Ultrasonic Welding, Filling, Injection Molding, Wave Soldering, Gluing, Lacquering, Marking, SMT….)
- Knowledge in various Production Technologies, process qualification, implementation and application
- Knowledge in preventive maintenance methodology & execution
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, resourceful, self-motivated, meticulous and a strong sense of responsibility
- Able to achieve results in a quality, timely, and cost-effective way and responds effectively to unforeseen events
