Senior Shipping Executive, Warehouse & Logistics

• Open to local Vietnamese talents with relevant experience
• Working location in District 7, HCMC, Vietnam

Role Purpose:

Fully in charge of all import/export activities of the company. Develop and maintain an efficient, cost effective import/export operation. Ensure all inbound and outbound shipments comply with the Vietnamese customs requirement and resolving custom and trade compliance issues.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for inbound/outbound shipping documentation and acting as contact with freight forwarders to ensure timely delivery and customs clearance
2. Coordinate work with relevant departments to ensure complete and accurate with the documents related to the importation, customs procedures, logistics
3. Manage and work closely with forwarders to make sure that forwarders will do customs clearance and deliver the goods on time
4. Contacts with partners concerning transport logistics and freight as well as work with the accounting for the payment of the cost of delivery
5. Liaise with forwarders and insurance company on cargo damage issue
6. Processing Credit Note and Debit Note requisition for required transactions
7. Prepare all necessary documents to make Country of Origin for export shipments to customers
8. Capability to keeping updated on the changes in rules and procedures of TRA/EAC/port authorities/ and other related agencies
9. Support to manage and monitor the daily operation of ocean/ air freight, custom clearance activities, packing process
10. Processing full spectrum of shipping documents required for filing and audit purpose
11. Updating of Shipping Operations Procedures
12. Generate reports for day-to-day shipping operations analysis and performance review
13. Implement continuous improvement plans and actions to ensure steady progress is made in import/export documentation, customer relations, rating, quoting, booking, tracking and invoicing activities
14. As a joint responsibility with the Manager, develop and maintain an office atmosphere conducive to continual growth of employees
15. Support manager for tasks related freight management: evaluate forwarders’ performance, coordinate with other Logistics sites to define forwarders per routing, review system lead time compared to actual to ensure correct material planning schedule, join Global Shipping project (HSP) to review and release standard Shipping procedures for all Logistics sites

Requirements:

• Degree in Economics, Import-Export, Trading
• 4 years operational experience in forwarder, import-export or international transportation
• Experience with the Vietnamese customs import and export
• Thorough knowledge of Imports and Exports procedures
• Thorough knowledge of procedures followed by Shipping line, Port authorities and other related agencies
• Good understanding of Incoterms
• Good understanding of HS Code and Customs Procedures
• Experience with ERP system/ E-customs software
• Project management skills
