Supply Chain Planning Manager

Role Purpose:
The Supply Chain Planning Manager is responsible for leading, organizing, and coordinating the end-to-end supply planning process for a defined product/production portfolio. This includes overseeing the production plan, source, make, distribute, and return processes to ensure efficient and effective supply chain operations.
The role requires continuous monitoring and assessment of supply chain performance, with a focus on identifying opportunities for improvement. The Supply Chain Planning Manager will proactively support the Senior Manager in executing long-term strategies aimed at optimizing the supply chain globally.
This position requires close collaboration with regional and global teams, including Supply Chain Strategy & Projects, TPU, Demand Management, Sales, and other stakeholders. The Supply Chain Planning Manager will lead a team of planners dedicated to managing the defined product/production portfolio.
Major Accountabilities:
- System and Process Optimization: Apply, adapt, and enhance o9 systems, business processes, and tools for production and distribution planning (including raw materials, merchandise, subassemblies, and finished goods) across global plant and distribution centers
- Supply Coordination: Confirm supply dates and quantities with the Sales Administration and Demand Management teams. Handle special demands in close collaboration with global SCM, Material planning, Operation procurement, Sales, and Demand Management
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze backlog, delivery reliability, availability, and inventory levels for raw materials, subassemblies, and finished goods to meet customer demand
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and implement improvements in supply chain planning (SCP) performance to support operational objectives
- Strategy and Project Implementation: Participate in and lead the execution of strategic initiatives and projects within the Global SCM framework
- Accuracy of Planning Parameters: Ensure the accuracy of critical planning parameters and stock management indicators to optimize operations
- Planning Review: Continuously review and update material, production, distribution, and return planning guidelines, rules, and tools
- Escalation Management: Manage local escalation topics related to supply constraints, working closely with MP/OP to resolve issues
- S&OP and S&OE: Lead local Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE) processes, ensuring alignment between supplier material and production capacity with demand
- Production Coordination: Oversee the coordination of production transfers, change management, and phase-in/phase-out activities
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless supply chain operations
- Budget Oversight: Manage and oversee the supply chain planning budget
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead, evaluate, and develop a high-performing team of planners dedicated to the product/production portfolio
- Supply Chain Process Improvement: Identify and propose improvements in supply chain planning systems and processes within Global SCM
- Project Support: Support and participate in smaller improvement projects with CoE to drive E2E solutions across systems and processes
- Reporting: Compile and deliver timely, accurate, and comprehensive documentation and reports as needed
- Training and Support: Provide comprehensive support and training to SCP staff, resolving issues through root cause analysis and ensuring smooth operations
- Operational Expertise: Gain deep operational knowledge in o9 / APS, ERP modules, database structures, and integrations with legacy systems and applications
- Local SCM Operations: Co-lead the Local SFM and address SCP operational issues
- Coaching and Guidance: Regularly coach and guide Supply Chain Planners (SCP) on open topics
- Process Introduction: Liaise with the system & tools team to bring an operational perspective into the design and implementation of new processes
- Capacity Alignment: Lead capacity alignment meetings among supply chain planners to ensure alignment with production and material availability
Role Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Production, Management or equivalent
- Min. 5 years of work experience in a professional structure in manufacturing environment and supply chain
- Experience in leadership of teams
- High proficiency in common tools and methods of strategic supply chain
- Business fluent or native English (written and spoken)
- Experience in using the ERP system (SAP, Movex, Oracle or any others relevant application) is an advantage
- Strong experience in Supply Chain planning environment
